A. Harrison Barnes, the CEO of EmploymentScape

With several hundred employees and fourteen offices from the United States, to Europe, to Asia—it is not a stretch to say EmploymentScape.com is a thriving business. At it’s helm is A. Harrison Barnes, the CEO of EmploymentScape. Mr. Barnes has a lofty goal of ending unemployment.

He hopes to do this by making job searching much easier. If the information is clearly presented and centrally located, then anyone can find the best job available for them. This clearinghouse for information would gather job information for every job board on earth and every company website on the Internet—and make it easily attainable to users. In many ways, Barnes has already accomplished this through the hundreds of websites EmploymentScape oversees.

It covers several niche markets, like LawCrossing.com, which compiles all legal listings. These niche markets are already covered by sites under the banner of EmploymentScape, but now there is a website, Hound.com, which also aggregates listings from thousands of companies’ websites which would otherwise not be seen by the general public. EmploymentScape.com, with it’s hundreds of websites, could not be a bigger success.

While the eventual goal is to end unemployment by ensuring 100% saturation of information, no one could say EmploymentScape.com is a failure. In fact, many of the websites under the umbrella of EmploymentScape.com are very successful in their own right.  LawCrossing.com has been featured Inc. 500 twice since its launch.
